Recipe Ingredients for Savory Oats

1 cup dry Steel Cut Oats
1 cup, chopped Onions
0.5 cup, chopped Carrots
0.5 cup, pieces or slices Mushrooms
1 large Egg, White
2 tbsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
2.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Savory Oats

  1. Saute vegetables if not premade.

  2. Mix egg white with oat groats.

  3. Boil water or stock.

  4. Toast oats with oil.

  5. When grains are separate, add hot water. Steam 'til fluffy, about 20 min.

  6. Add any crunchy ingredients, such as toasted nuts or seeds, and garnishes.
