A healthier variation on the classic- turkey, beef, spinach and whole grain infused with rosemary.

Recipe Ingredients for Savory Meatloaf

1 1/2 lb turkey, ground
1 lb Beef, Ground, 95% Lean Meat / 5% Fat
2 tbsp onion, dehydrated flake
2 tbsp green peppers, dried
2 tbsp red peppers, dried
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3 cup baby spinach, raw
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup Kashi 7 Whole Grain Pilaf, cooked
1 egg
1 tbsp rosemary, chopped
3 tbsp ketchup

Recipe Directions for Savory Meatloaf

  1. (Preheat oven to 350ºF.) Steam spinach and set aside to cool.

  2. Add beef and turkey to a large bowl.

  3. Sprinkle with onion flakes, peppers, salt, pepper, garlic powder, kashi and rosemary. Blend ingredients together well (use your hands).

  4. Beat egg and add to bowl, blend in thoroughly.

  5. Place mixture in a 9" x 5" glass loaf pan. Press into pan firmly to remove air pockets. Top with ketchup.

  6. Bake in 350ºF oven for 45-60 minutes or until a meat thermometer measures at least 160ºF when inserted into the center of the loaf.

  7. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Slice into 1/2" slices- 2 slices = 1 serving.
