Savory beef stew, great way to use steak leftovers. Rice optional.

Recipe Ingredients for Savory Beef Stew

12 oz Beef, Top Sirloin
1.5 tbsp Soy Sauce
3 teaspoon Spicy Brown Mustard
1 tbsp chopped Shallots
1 clove Garlic
1.5 cup Fat Free Beef Flavored Broth
1 cup slices Carrots
2 stalks Celery
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 fl oz Beer, Regular
3 tbsp Parsley
1/2 tsp Thyme, Fresh
0.3 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain, Cooked

Recipe Directions for Savory Beef Stew

Roast Carrots & Celery at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Bring beef broth to a boil in a small pot. Season steak with salt and pepper and then cook 6 minutes on each side at medium high heat (best in a cast iron skillet). Remove steak from heat when desired doneness is achieved. In same pan add 1 tsp olive oil and heat shallots, garlic and parsley for 1-2 minutes. Add broth, beer, soy sauce, mustard, thyme. Bring to a boil on high heat. Add vegetables, rice and meat.
