My Dad's recipe to go with hi sauce. It's GREAT!! A serving is 2 meatballs.

Recipe Ingredients for Savage Family Meatballs

3 pounds lean hamburger
1 1/2 cups Italian bread crumbs
6 eggs
6 tablespoons parsley
5 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tablespoons oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil

Recipe Directions for Savage Family Meatballs

  1. Finely chop the garlic. Combine all the ingredients in alarge bowl. Mix well! Roll out 32 meatballs on cookie sheets. Heat a large cast itron fry pan, add olive oil, heat oil. Add meatballs to fry pan in groups of 8 - 10 and fry until cooked medium-well to well done. Remove and drain, repeat wih next batch.

  2. When finished, add entire batch to Savage Family Spagetti sauce and simmer for 2 hours (along with the sauce).

  3. Freezes well with the sauce. Can use on grinder sandwiches with provolone cheese.
