Recipe Ingredients for Sausage spinach pasta bake

14 1/2 oz whole wheat pasta
3/4 lb italian sausage
1 medium onion
5 garlic cloves
28 oz crushed tomatoes
14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1/4 tsp pepper
20 oz frozen chopped spinach
1/2 c half-and-half
8 oz part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/2 c parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Sausage spinach pasta bake

  1. cook pasta according to package directions

  2. In large skillet, remove casings and cook sausage and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink.

  3. add garlic

  4. cook 1 minute longer; drain

  5. stir in tomatoes, oregano, basi, and pepper. bring to a boil. reduce heat; summer, uncovered, for 10 minutes

  6. drain pasta; stir into turkey mixture. Add spinach and cream; heat through.

  7. transfer to a 13 x 9" baking dish coated w/cooking spray. sprinkle w/cheeses.

  8. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown
