Home made ravioli pasta with Italian sausage and tomato sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Sausage Ravioli with Tomato Sauce

4 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp olive oil
3/4 lb Italian sausage
2 onions
3 cloves garlic
2 oz parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
2 tsp lemon juice
40 fl oz canned tomatoes
8 fl oz tomato paste

Recipe Directions for Sausage Ravioli with Tomato Sauce

  1. Make pasta dough with 3 eggs, flour and 1 tsp olive oil and roll out according to pasta maker instructions

  2. Sauté 1 onion with sausage. Cool and add 1/2 cup of grated parmesan and beaten egg. Put spoonfuls of sausage mixture on pasta noodles and make into ravioli shapes. Set aside in fridge to dry. Meanwhile, chop remaining onion and saute with garlic. Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer 3 hours on low. Cook pasta for 3 minutes, top with sauce and more parmesan cheese.
