Recipe Ingredients for Sausage, peppers, spinach

1 tsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
5 cloves garlic, chopped
12 ounces Smoked Chicken and Turkey Sausage Italian Style with Mozzarella Cheese Fully Cooked
1 bunch spinach
1/4 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1/3 cup white wine
2/3 cup water

Recipe Directions for Sausage, peppers, spinach

  1. Directions:

  2. Heat a large non-stick skillet on medium heat. Add olive oil; when hot add onions, peppers, garlic, salt and pepper.  Cook until soft, about 4-5 minutes.  

  3. Add sausage, breaking up with a wooden spoon and cook until golden, about 6 to 8 minutes.

  4. Add spinach cover and cook 2 minutes; remove the cover, stir and cook about 3 more minutes or until wilted. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

  5.  

  6. Add red pepper flakes, water, wine and Parmigiano Reggiano. Cook for 3 minutes. Toss well and transfer to a large serving bowl. Serve immediately.
