A sweet mix of sausage and peppers. Serve over rice or pasta or as a sandwhich filler

Recipe Ingredients for Sausage & Peppers

1 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Red
1 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Green
3 tbsp chopped Onions
3 clove Garlic
4 oz Juice Cocktail
1 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
2 grams Coarse Kosher Salt
1 tsp Oregano
1 tsp, ground Basil, Dried
4 link Sausage

Recipe Directions for Sausage & Peppers

  1. cut peppers and onions

  2. salt and sweat peppers and onions over med-low heat for 10 minutes

  3. add garlic and raise heat to med for 5 minutes

  4. mix apple juice, tomato paste, oregano, and basil and 1/2 cup water together, then add to vegetables.

  5. reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes

  6. add sliced sausage and diced tomatoes.

  7. simmer for 5 minutes or until sausage is heated through.
