Recipe Ingredients for Sausage & Peppers Over Rice

1 serving Hillshire Farm Lite Smoked Sausage
1 medium raw Bell Pepper Red
2 medium raw Bell Pepper Green
1 medium raw Onion Yellow
2 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain
2 tsp Sea Salt

Recipe Directions for Sausage & Peppers Over Rice

  1. Rice:

  2. Place 2 cups of Brown Rice in a pot and mix with 3 1/2 cups water and 2 tsp Sea Salt. Bring to a boil for 5 min and then cover with lid and lower heat to simmer for 20 min. When 20 min is done turn heat off and keep lid on for 10 more min. Fluff and serve warm.

  3. Sausage & Peppers:

  4. Slice 1 Lg Red Pepper, 2 med Green Bell Peppers, 1 med Onion and 1 pkg of Hillshire Farm Lite Smoked Sausage. Cook veggies and meat in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until all veggies and meat are browned. Serve warm over rice.
