Recipe Ingredients for Sausage, Pepper, and Onion Pizza

1.5 cup, sliced Onions
1 medium Green Bell Pepper
4 oz Lean Turkey Italian Sausage
1/4 tsp Spices Crushed Red Peppers
14.5 oz Diced Tomatoes, No Salt Added
7 oz Bread French
4 oz Mozzarella, Part Skim Milk Cheese

Recipe Directions for Sausage, Pepper, and Onion Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

  2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; coat with cooking spray. Add onion and bell pepper; saute 6 minutes or until tender.

  3. Remove casings from sausage. Add sausage to pan and cook 5 minutes or until ightly browned, stirring to crumble. Add red pepper and tomatoes and cook 5 minutes or until mixture thickens.

  4. Spread sausage mixture evenly over cut halves of bread, and sprinkle evenly with cheese. Place bread halves on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Cut each pizza in half.
