Recipe Ingredients for Sausage Pasta Ragu

300 grams Fusilli
0.5 tsp Sea Salt
1 serving Sainsbury's Ultimate Outdoor Bred Pork Sausages
1 tbsp Olive Oil
4 medium (4-1/8" long) Onions, Spring Or Scallions
1 carrot (7-1/2") Carrots
3 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery
1 oz Peppers
2 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Fennel Seed
4 tbsp Vinegar balsamic
400 grams Tomatoes

Recipe Directions for Sausage Pasta Ragu

  1. Roughly chop the carrot, celery, red chilli and spring onions and pulse mix in a food processor into a fine mix. Add the fennel seeds.

  2. Add the sausages one by one, making sure they have completely been mixed in.

  3. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan and add the sausage mixture to the hot pan, breaking up the mixture as it browns.

  4. Once browned, add the garlic and 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar and allow to cook for a few more minutes.

  5. Pour in a tin of chopped tomatoes and allow to simmer whilst cooking the pasta shapes according to packet instructions.
