1/2 pound Italian sausage, bulk
1 large onion, chopped
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
21 ounces condensed chicken broth
14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup water
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3/4 cups dried lentils, rinsed

Recipe Directions for Sausage Lentil Soup

In dutch oven crumble sausage. Cook over medium heat until no longer pink, Add the onion, green pepper, carrot, broth tomatoes, water, garlic salt and pepper, bring to boil. Add lentils, Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 60 - 70 minutes until lentils are tender.
