Notes on this recipe: I guess it was a quart, but it might be less or more. I'll have to measure better next time. It's OK to use skim milk, but this is what Dad had on hand. I will analyze with skim milk later.

Recipe Ingredients for Sausage Gravy

1 pound Country Mild Sausage
1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1 quart 2% milk

Recipe Directions for Sausage Gravy

Brown sausage. Add flour. Blend flour and sausage well, allowing the flour to cook off a few minutes. Add milk to desired consistency of sausage/milk ratio. The gravy will thicken within several minutes simmer. Reduce to desired consistency.
