A fruity accompaniment to baked potatoes. Can replace ingredients with red onion, red grapes and dry red wine for a colourful alternative.

Recipe Ingredients for Sausage and grapes in cider

12 link+raw+dimensions:+4"+long+x+7/8"+dia,+cooked sausages
1 large onion, sliced
48 grapes
10 fl oz dry cider
2 tsp cornflour
5 g sugar
1 tsp Tarragon
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp sage

Recipe Directions for Sausage and grapes in cider

  1. Part grill sausages until skin is lightly brown

  2. Fry onions in a wok with no oil

  3. Chop sausages into thirds and add with herbs to wok with onions. Cook on moderate heat for 5 mins

  4. Add grapes and cook for further 5 mins

  5. In measuring jug, mix sugar and cornflour into cider until cornflour is thoroughly mixed. Add to pan, increase heat and cook until sauce is thick and syrupy, similar to a sweet and sour sauce.

  6. Serve with baked potatoes.
