Recipe Ingredients for Sausage & Egg Breakfast Casserole - Unhealthy Version

10 oz. Pork Sausage
10 eggs, lightly beaten
3 cups milk
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
6 cups bread
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup green onions

Recipe Directions for Sausage & Egg Breakfast Casserole - Unhealthy Version

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Brown sausage in skillet over medium heat, breaking into small pieces. Once cooked, drain off excess fat and rinse sausage to remove additional fat.

  3. Mix eggs, milk, mustard and salt together, to form a scrambled-egg type mixture.

  4. Layer 1/2 of bread, cheese, pepper, sausage, onions, tomato and mushrooms in a greased 10X13X2 baking pan; do this two times.

  5. Pour egg mixture over top of over layered ingredients.

  6. Bake uncovered for 55-60 minutes
