Recipe Ingredients for Sausage Cabbage Skillet

16 oz Pork Sausage, Fresh
4 tbsp Butter
1 head, medium (about 5-3/4" dia) Cabbage
1 medium raw Onion Yellow
24 oz Tomato Sauce
0.5 cup, unpacked Sugars, Brown
1 tbsp Paprika
4 cup Hashbrowns

Recipe Directions for Sausage Cabbage Skillet

  1. In a large dutch oven, brown the sausage in butter; remove and set aside. In the same pan, saute cabbage and onions in reminaing butter until onions are tender.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce, sugar and paprika; pour over cabbage mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add the thawed, drained hashbrowns and reserved sausage; cover and cook for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

  3. Makes 8 servings.
