Makes 4 servings



Basic sausage biscuit gravy. One serving is enough to cover 2 Pillsbury Grands halfed. Any sausage with sage works well. If the sausage is spicy go light on the pepper.

Recipe Ingredients for Sausage biscuit gravy

0.5 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Unenriched
1 stick Butter
1 serving Bird Farm Whole Hog Original Pork Sausage (Walmart)

Recipe Directions for Sausage biscuit gravy

  1. Brown sausage in 14" cast iron skillet or 5 quart frying pan and push to side.

  2. Melt stick of butter in center of pan.

  3. Stir in flour to form paste.

  4. Add milk and stir occassionly, allowing gravy to thicken over medium heat. Gravy should be done approximately 20-30 seconds after it starts bubbling. Salt and pepper to taste.
