Recipe Ingredients for Sausage Bean Pot

112 g bacon, chopped
450 g Sainsburys Basics Frozen Sausages
1 onion, chopped
2 carrots, sliced
400 g Sainsburys Basics Chopped Tomatoes
1 tbsp Tomato Puree
1/4 pint chicken stock
1 tsp mixed herbs
840 g Sainsburys Basics Baked Beans

Recipe Directions for Sausage Bean Pot

  1. Set the oven at 180C/350F/Gas 4. Cook the bacon in a frying pan until just brown. Oven-bake the sausages until browned.

  2. Add the onions and carrots to the bacon and continue to cook, stirring until the onion is softened. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato puree and stock. Add the mixed herbs and bring the mixture to the boil. Off the heat, add the beans to the sauce and transfer it to an ovenproof dish.

  3. Slice the sausages, stir them into the mixture and add a dash od Tabasco sauce with seasoning to taste. Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
