Can't remember where I got this recipe, it is very good!

Recipe Ingredients for Sauerkraut, my way

1 lb sauerkraut, drained
3 slices turkey bacon 50% lean Oscar Meyer
1/2 cup sliced onion
1 T parsley, chopped
1 tsp,+crumbled bay leaf
1 1/2 t peppercorn
14 oz water
1 apple, peeled and chopped

Recipe Directions for Sauerkraut, my way

  1. Drain Sauerkraut.

  2. Spray a large saute pan with Vegelene and saute onions for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Add the remaining ingredients, except apple slices. Stir to blend.

  3. Bring to a gentle boil. Reduce to simmer, and cook, covered, for approximately 1 hour. Add the sliced apples, cook for an additional hour.

  4. Serve with grilled pork loin and mashed potatoes.

  5. This also freezes really well!!
