Recipe Ingredients for Saucey Bars

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 3/4 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Saucey Bars

  1. mix together dry ingredients (flour through cloves)

  2. cream together canola oil and brown sugar. add applesauce and vanilla, mix well.

  3. add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. mix just until dry ingredients incorporated.

  4. spread into prepared 13 x 9 baking pan.

  5. bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
