400 grams canned tomatoes, chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon cayenne

Heat the oil fry off the onion until lightly browned, now add the garlic and cayenne and fry for approximately 1 minute, stirring constanly so the cayenne doesnt stick or burn, add the tomatoes and their juice and bring up to temperature and then simmer and reduce sauce down for about 20 minutes. once cooled slightly blend till smooth.
