This is a HUGE stir fry recipe using stewing beef instead of stir fry strips. The beed marinades for 24 hours to tenderize. We do not serve this mix over any rice or noodles as it is so filling without them. Bon appetite!

Recipe Ingredients for Satay Beef Stir Fry

550 g stewing beef
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup red wine
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/8 tsp black pepper
4 cloves garlic
2 1/2 tsp fresh ginger
1 tsp chives
1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1 1/2 cup carrots
1 1/2 cup cauliflower
1 cup peas
1 1/2 cup broccoli
1 cup celery
3 tbsp vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Satay Beef Stir Fry

  1. Slice stewing beef into strips.

  2. Mix peanut butter, wine, lime juice, both soy sauces (one is brewed), pepper, ginger, garlic, and chives in a large bowl with a lid.

  3. Add beef slices, cover, and allow to sit at room temp for 30 mins before putting in the fridge for 24 hours (or over night).

  4. Slice veggies into bite-size pieces and wash.

  5. Once beef has marinated, heat wok or frying pan to med high heat. Add half the veggie (or olive)oil and stir fry beef, disgarding the remaining drippings in the bowl.

  6. Cook until beef just turns brown. Remove from heat.

  7. Add the other half of the veggie oil to the pan. stir fry teh veggies until they are just about to desired state. Add the Beef back to the wok (frying pan) and finish the stir fry.

  8. Plate into 8 portions and enjoy!
