A healthy version of Sarson ka saag

Recipe Ingredients for Sarson ka Saag


Ingredients:
4 cups mustard greens
4 cups baby spinach
1 cup onions
1/2 tsp ginger
4 cloves garlic
3 thai peppers
1/2 tbl lemon juice
1 salt to taste
1 tbl oil
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tbl corn flour

Recipe Directions for Sarson ka Saag

  1. Method:

  2. Chop both greens, wash, drain.

  3. Heat oil in the pressure cooker direct.

  4. Add both greens, green chillies, stir.

  5. Add ginger, garlic, stir.

  6. Add few pinches salt, 1 cup water.

  7. Pressure cook till done. (2 whistles).

  8. Mash well.

  9. Heat ghee in a pan, add onion, saute till brown,

  10. Add all other ingredients, except cheese.

  11. Stir well and cook till oil separates.

  12. Garnish with cheese.

  13. Serve hot with makki ki roti, or paratha.
