Recipe Ingredients for Sarkarai pongal

1 cup Raw Rice
1 cup Milk
4 cups Water
1 3/4 cups organic sugar
1 oz. Cashew nuts
10 Raisins
3 tbsp clarified butter
1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder

Recipe Directions for Sarkarai pongal

  1. bring water and milk to boil in a pot

  2. add rice and cook for 10 minutes.

  3. Add organic sugar cook for 10 minutes

  4. Heat clarified butter in a pan and Fry cashews and raisins till it becomes golden brown and add to the pongal.

  5. Finally sprinkle cardamom powder all over and serve.
