Recipe Ingredients for Santa Fe Casserole

1 pound lean ground beef, cooked and drained
1 taco seasoning
2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup flour
1 cup light sour cream
8 oz chopped green chiles
11 oz corn tortilla chips
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for Santa Fe Casserole

  1. Brown and drain ground beef. Add in taco seasoning. Stir together chicken broth and flour, then add to beef. Bring to a boil and stir until broth thickens. Add in sour cream and drained chiles, stirring well.

  2. In a 13x9x2" pan, layer 1/2 bag tortilla chips, 1/2 meat mixture, and 1/2 cheese. For color and extra flavor you can sprinkle on 1/4 cup green onions, chopped. Repeat layers.

  3. Bake at 375 degrees Farenheit for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
