A nice indian vegeterian side dish/soup

Recipe Ingredients for Sambar (mixed vegetables)

1 cup pigeon peas, toor dal
4 cups water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp salt
2 thai peppers
1 tbsp oil
1 cup pumpkin
1 cup onions
1 cup eggplant
2 tbl tamarind

Recipe Directions for Sambar (mixed vegetables)

  1. Please add (1) pinch of hing (2) 2 red chillis (3) 4 curry leaves to the recipe (4) 1 tbl sambhar powder

  2. Take water. Mix tamarind, turmeric, hing, salt and sambhar powder

  3. Add the onions and vegetables.

  4. Boil the mix

  5. Add the pressure-cooked toor dal

  6. Temper with oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, red and green chillies
