Creamy Salmon & Mushroom topped with mashed potato

Recipe Ingredients for Salmon & Mushroom Pie with green beans

25 g plain flour
300 ml Skimmed Milk
25 g margarine
1 Pepper
1 tsp dill
150 g mushrooms
1 medium tomato
400 g salmon fillet
6 small potatoes
200 g green beans

Recipe Directions for Salmon & Mushroom Pie with green beans

  1. Place the salmon fillets in the bottom of an oven proof dish

  2. Slice mushrooms and cover the salmon fillets

  3. Slice the tomato and layer on the top of the mushrooms.

  4. White Sauce

  5. add the 25g of margarine to a saucepan and melt

  6. add the flour and mix with melted margarine

  7. cook for 2-3 minutes

  8. slowly add the milk to the pan whilst vigorously whisking

  9. add white pepper and dill to taste

  10. cook on a very low heat for 6 minutes

  11. Pour the white sauce over the salmon, mushrooms and tomato.

  12. Boil the potatoes and mash

  13. Spread mashed potato on the top of the salmon sauce mixture. Use a fork to pattern the top of the potato.

  14. place in a preheated oven (150C) uncovered for 30 minutes.

  15. Serve with steamed green beans.
