Salmon is a great source of omega three fatty acids. In this recipe it is combined with a creamy white sauce and linguine. Simply delicious

Recipe Ingredients for Salmon Linguine

24 ounces salmon
3/4 cup sour cream
2 cups organic milk
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon of salt
8 ounces linguine
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon basil

Recipe Directions for Salmon Linguine

  1. cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain water. Wash with cold water and set aside.

  2. Discard any skin the salmon may have, cut it into small strips and toss it with the lemon juice and red wine vinegar. Set it aside.

  3. Heat the olive oil on a pot and add the onions. Brown the onions without burning them.

  4. Add 1 cup of milk to the onions, then add the sour cream slowly. bring heat to low. Add basil and garlic powder to the sauce.

  5. On a skillet, heat the olive oil, then add the salmon strips and brown on all sides without burning. Allow the salmon to cook for about 5 minutes on each side. Remove from heat. Fish should be easily flaked into small chunks.

  6. On a separate dish, mix the remaining cup of milk with the tablespoon of flour. Add the mixture to the sauce and allow it to thicken some (if it gets too thick, add 1/2 cup of water).

  7. Add salt to the sauce according to taste. Add red pepper flakes (optional)

  8. Add salmon to the sauce, mix well. Bring heat to medium high again and allow salmon to finish cooking in the sauce. Add parmesan cheese. Remove from heat.

  9. Add the linguine to the pot and make sure to mix it well with the sauce and the salmon.
