Salmon Sauce, good to serve over rice or pasta (fettucini) or with toast. Like my Mama used to make.

Recipe Ingredients for Salmon Creamed

1 tbsp butter, no salt added
1 tbsp flour, all purpose
1/2 cup milk, 1%
1 tsp dill, dried
1 tsp parsley, dried
1 tsp capers, drained
213 g salmon, unsalted, canned, drained with bones

Recipe Directions for Salmon Creamed

  1. Make a white sauce by melting butter, adding flour to form a paste, and milk bit by bit to form a cream sauce. Add a little liquid off the cooking rice or pasta, if you have some, to thicken the sauce.

  2. Season with dried dill, fresh parsley and green onions, drained capers, and a little salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Stir in the salmon, drained of liquid, but include the skin and bones. Mix well and heat through.

  4. This sauce can be served over rice or fettucini or with some added vegetables if you wish.

  5. Can also be served as is, with some toast fingers.

  6. YUM.
