Recipe Ingredients for Salmon Chowder

16 oz. salmon
2 cups fish stock
1/2 cup soy milk
4 red potatoes
1/2 onion
5 cloves garlic
1/2 cup grated carrot
1 cup arugula
1 tablespoon Original Natural Buttery Spread
1 T Oil
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 serving Nori Komi Furikake Rice Seasoning
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tablespoon tapioca starch
2 lilydale starters turkey bacon

Recipe Directions for Salmon Chowder

  1. In a pot, place stock and potatoes and simmer.

  2. In a saute pan, place earth balance and oil, melt and then add the garlic cloves ( crushed and minced), onions ( sliced) and carrots ( grated) and saute until onions have gone clear.

  3. Deglaze pan with some of the fish stock and then place the contents in the pot with the stock and potatoes.

  4. In the same pan, place the turkey bacon in a pan and saute and then place in the pot, and then deglaze the pan again with the stock.

  5. Then, place the salmon in the pan and cook for 1 minute on each side then break the salmon apart, deglaze pan with stock and set the pan aside.

  6. In the pot with potatoes, vegetables and stock add all spices, ( oregano, lemon pepper, onion powder, furikake, etc.). Sift tapioca starch into the stock and then add soy milk. simmer for 1 minute.

  7. Add, salmon and arugula after simmering and then stir.

  8. Serve. Eat
