Recipe Ingredients for Salmon Burgers

1 can Salmon, Sockeye
1 large Egg, Whole
1 cup Multigrain Flakes
0.25 tsp Sea Salt
2 dash Pepper, Black
1 tbsp Soy Garden Natural Buttery Spread
0.25 medium White Onion
1 cloves, raw Garlic
1 tsp Parsley, Dried
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
0.5 lime yields Lime Juice
1 tsp Dill Weed, Dried

Recipe Directions for Salmon Burgers

  1. Finely chop the garlic and onion

  2. Sautee in a small skillet with soy butter, salt and herbs until garlic is lightly browned and onion is clear, add lime juice and simmer for 3 minutes.

  3. In a medium bowl, mash us the drained salmon and egg.

  4. In a food processor, grind the flakes until bread-crumb consistency.

  5. Add the sautee to the salmon and combine well with a fork.

  6. Add the ground flakes and mix well.

  7. Shape salmon into 4 patties and lay on wax paper.

  8. Wrap and place in fridge for one hour.

  9. When ready to cook, heat the olive oil until water simmers if sprinkled in. Then add the burgers. Brown 3-4 minutes on each side, being careful not to crumble the patty.

  10. It's helpful to use two spatulas to shape the sides of the patty as it's cooking. When the one side is fairly dark it will hold better and you can easily flip.

  11. Serve on a toasted english muffin with yogurt/mustard dill sauce and a tomato!
