Recipe Ingredients for Salisbury Steak

14 oz beef broth
1 tbs flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup salsa
16 oz lean ground beef
3 tbs seasoned bread crumbs
1 large egg white
1/2 cup mushrooms
1/2 cup sliced onion

Recipe Directions for Salisbury Steak

  1. Combine beef broth, flour and 1/4 tsp salt in small bowl; stir with whisk. Add 1/4 cup salsa. Set aside.

  2. Combine beef, breadcrumbs, egg white and remaining salsa and salt in large bowl. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions; shaping into 1/2 inch thick patty.

  3. Heat nonstick skillet and coat with PAM. Add patties; cook 5 minutes on each side or until done. Remove from heat; cover and set aside.

  4. Add mushrooms and onions to pan; saute until browned. Add reserved broth mixture; bring to boil and cook 3 minutes or until slightly thick; stirring constantly. Return patties to pan and cook until thoroughly heated.
