Recipe Ingredients for Sage and Onion Mashed Potatoes

2 1/2 lbs potatoes
1 large onion
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ground sage
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup lowfat buttermilk

Recipe Directions for Sage and Onion Mashed Potatoes

  1. In a greased baking pan place the potatoes cut in chunks along with the onions

  2. Drizzle the olive oil, sage and 1/2 c of water over the vegetables

  3. Bake uncovered for 45 on 450 degrees

  4. Stir the vegetables twice during cooking

  5. Mash the vegetables and slowly add in the buttermilk
