This is a recipe that came with a package of fresh sage from Trader Joe's. I replaced the Butter milk incredient with regular or low fat milk.

Recipe Ingredients for Sage Biscuits

1/4 cup sage
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 stick butter
3/4 cup buttermilk

Recipe Directions for Sage Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 425

  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

  3. Cut 6 tablespoons cold butter into the flour until it resembles course meal.

  4. Stir in sage

  5. Stir in buttermilk

  6. Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, place dough onto a greased baking sheet. Brush with the remaining melted butter.

  7. Bake until tops are golden brow; about 10-15 minutes
