Yummy scrummy curry with spinach and soya chunks, lovely with rice and a potato or chick pea side dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Sag Ghosh with soya chunks

5 grams bouillon - swiss vegetable, powder [70409)
300 ml water, to rehydrate the soya chunks
5 ounces soya chunks
8 oz spinach, chopped
2 tablespoon sunflower oil
1 medium onion, chopped
40 grams ginger root , peeled and chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin
200 grams canned tomatoes, chopped with juice
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 salt, season to taste
200 ml water
5 grams bouillon - swiss vegetable, powder [70409)

Recipe Directions for Sag Ghosh with soya chunks

  1. Rehydrate the chunks, leave to one side.

  2. Heat the oil in a large saucepan, fry off and brown th onions, now add the garlic and spices (excluding the turmeric) and fry gentle on a low heat for 2 - 3 minutes.

  3. Now add the chunks, tomatoes and stir well, adding the salt to taste and turmeric.

  4. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes, adding enough stock for liquid it wants to be not too wet not too dry or add stock to how much liquid you want. then add the spinach and check seasoning and cook for a further 15 minutes.

  5. Serve with Basmati rice and a side dish of your choice chic pea curry goes well so does potato curry.
