Recipe Ingredients for Rye-based Sourdough

1 cup Rye Flour, Medium
1 cup Wheat Flour, Whole-grain
2 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Rye-based Sourdough

  1. mix i bowl

  2. leave uncovered at kitchen temperature (near open window) until it starts to bubble on its own (could be days)

  3. if it has a sour smell put in a closed container and store in fridge. If not, start over (it has gone bad, do not use)

  4. can be keept in fridge for ever. Just remember to "feed" it 1/2 cup wheat flour, 1/2 cup rye flour, and 1 cup of water, every fortnight.
