Recipe Ingredients for Ruth's Homemade Chicken soup

24 oz. chicken breasts
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 large onion
14 oz. baby carrots
13 1/2 oz. spinach, cut
14 1/2 oz. fresh cut green beans
20 oz. water

Recipe Directions for Ruth's Homemade Chicken soup

  1. Place chicken and water (taken from steamed vegetables and saved in the freezer) in the crockpot and turn it on high.

  2. After about 4 or more hours, add steamed or canned vegetables (add the water from cans) and continue to cook.

  3. In about 6 hours, or until chicken falls apart when you pick it up with a fork.

  4. Serve soup and enjoy!

  5. For variety you can add brown rice or noodles, or other vegetables.
