A common breakfast food in Russia. Can also be made in many varieties using different fillings.

Recipe Ingredients for Russian Crepes


Ingredients:
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
8 ounces milk
1/4 tbsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Russian Crepes

  1. Beat egg in bowl. Mix in milk, salt and cinnamon. Beat until mixture is fluffy.

  2. Add flour to the mixture and beat until a liquid batter forms.

  3. Heat a greased or nonstick round frying pan (about 5 inches in diameter).

  4. Spoon in 2 Tbsp batter; lift and tilt skillet to spread evenly.

  5. When one side is fully cooked and the crepe can easily be picked up with a spatula, flip it on the uncooked side and cook until the crepe is ready.

  6. Repeat with remaining batter.

  7. Fill the crepe with whatever filling suits you, if you like. Some examples are: marmalade, preserves, nutella, spiced apples and cinnamon, fruit, etc.
