The new breakfast of champions--it has the right mix of protein, carbohydrates, good fats, and fruit to start a runner's day.

Recipe Ingredients for Runner's World Granola

2 1/2 cups oats
1/2 cup wheat bran
1/3 cup raw almonds, sliced
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup canola oil
1/3 cup raisins
1/3 cup dried cranberries

Recipe Directions for Runner's World Granola

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

  2. Combine oats through cinnamon in a bowl.

  3. Heat the honey and oil in a saucepan until small bubbles appear around the cides of the pan.

  4. Pour over dry mixture and toss until well combined.

  5. Spread evenly in a foil-lined shallow baking pan. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown, stirring every 10 minutes.

  6. Add raisins and cranberries.

  7. Cool and store in an air-tight container.
