Tasty rugelach coated with sugar syrup. Tastes like it's dairy!

Recipe Ingredients for Rugelach

1 tbsp yeast
1 cup oil
3 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 kg flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup water
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp vanilla sugar
1 tsp lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Rugelach

  1. combine yeast with 1/4 cup water and 3/4 cup sugar, allow to bubble.

  2. mix in oil, eggs, flour, salt, and sugar and knead until dough is formed

  3. allow to rise in refrigerator for two hours

  4. shape into rugelach and place on tray

  5. egg them

  6. bake in oven at 350 for 14 minutes

  7. while rugelach are baking, combine water, sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice

  8. when rugelach are done, coat them with the syrup.
