The first 7 ingredients are a rub--it's good on chicken, and pork.

Recipe Ingredients for Rubbed chicken legs

1/4 c brown sugar
3 T chili powder
2 T garlic powder
1 t cumin, ground
1/4 t cayenne pepper
1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
20 ounce chicken legs

Recipe Directions for Rubbed chicken legs

  1. Combine the first 7 ingredients in a small bowl.

  2. Coat the chicken with the rub in a separate bowl. You may have extra rub, which you can save for the next barbecue.

  3. When the chicken is rubbed, grill it on the bbq until it reaches an internal temp of 170 degrees, the juices are clear, and there is no pink meat inside.
