Indian flat bread, so easy, just flour and water. You can use any flour variation, white, wholemal, chick pea flour, a combination of whatever you like.

Recipe Ingredients for Roti

1 c wheat flour
1/3 c boiling water
1 T butter

Recipe Directions for Roti

  1. Put flour in a bowl. Mix in boiling water with a fork.

  2. When brave, turn it out onto a floured bench and start kneeding for 2 mins or until it's fully mixed and smooth.

  3. Split into 2, and 2 again, until you have 4.

  4. Roll them out into circles, as thin as you can without tearing them.

  5. Peel off bench and put straight into hot pan.

  6. Start rolling the next roti.

  7. When roti starts to puff and bubble, brush a little room temperature or melted butter onto them, and turn them over. Do the same on the other side and remove from heat when done.

  8. Start cooking the next one you just rolled between brushing and turning.

  9. Eat with Curry or Dahl. Yum.
