Fun breakfast idea for kids! It's a piece of bread, with a hole cut in the middle, an egg cracked into the center, then fried.

Recipe Ingredients for Rocky Mountain Toast

1 slice whole wheat bread
1 egg
1 tbsp butter

Recipe Directions for Rocky Mountain Toast

  1. Melt butter in frying pan on medium heat.

  2. Use a cookie cutter (or a substitute, such as an upside down glass) to cut out the center of a piece of bread. Put into frying pan.

  3. Crack an egg right into the middle of the cutout.

  4. Once underside is done cooking, use spatula to flip entire the piece of bread, with egg attached in center, over.

  5. Finish cooking as desired.
