3 egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 cups 2% milk
1 cup half and half
4 teaspoons vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Robin's Bread Pudding Custard

Combine yolks, sugar and cornstarch in the top of a double boiler. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth. Cook over boiling water, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and coats a metal spoon. Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla. Serve pudding and sauce warm or chilled.
