Gumbo type topping for yellow or white rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Robert's Surprise

2 tbls EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
3/4 cup onion
1/2 cup frozen okra
15 ounce cooked tomatos
15 ounce can tomato sauce
1 tbsp black pepper
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp salt
5 ounce yellow rice

Recipe Directions for Robert's Surprise

  1. Put olive oil in boiler add onions and bell peper. Saute for several minuteson med high heat.

  2. Add all other ingredients (except yellow rice) in boiler. Bring to a boil and cut heat down to low and simmer for a minimum of 1 hour.

  3. Prepare rice per direction. Spoon liquid over yellow rice.

  4. Adding shrimp in is almost worth the extra calories.
