Recipe Ingredients for Roasted Tumeric Chicken

4 oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 tbs Turmeric
1 9/10 lbs Organic Chicken Breast (cut into 6 5oz pieces)
2 tsp sea salt
1 serving Ground Red Pepper Spice
8 oz Thyme, Fresh
8 oz Sage
4 tbs Butter
1 cup chicken broth

Recipe Directions for Roasted Tumeric Chicken

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Make a paste with the olive oil and turmeric. Place the chicken in a roasting pan and brush on the past, covering the entire chicken until it is a beautiful orange color. Sprinkle liberally with sea salt and pepper, then scatter the fresh herbs over the top. Dot with half of the butter. Roast for about 40 minutes (about 20 minutes per pound).

  3. To make a quick gravy out of the pan drippings, remove the chicken and herbs from the pan and place in a separate dish. Pour most of the liquids out of the roasting pan, reserving about 1 Tablespoon. Place the pan on the stovetop over high heat. Add the chicken broth and scrape the browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Continue to boil until the liquid is reduced by half. Turn off the heat, then add the remaining butter and swirl until combined and smooth.

  4. Serve the chicken with a spoonful of pan gravy and sprinkle of herbs.
