Recipe Ingredients for Roasted Tomato Sauce

4 medium tomatoes
6 garlic cloves
1 tsp olive oil
1 salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Roasted Tomato Sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 400. Brush a baking sheet with olive oil. Cut tomatoes into chunks and place on baking sheet with garlic cloves.

  2. Roast in preheated oven for 20-30 minutes until tomatoes and garlic are soft and tomatoes have some brown edges.

  3. Allow to cool and puree in food processor add salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Keep for up to 3 weeks in the fridge. Add additional ingredients as you use it - mushrooms, meat, herbs, etc.
