Well, when you have Brussels Sprouts, you make gingerade? Ginger, sugar and vinegar is the right touch for this veggie dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Roasted Sesame Ginger Brussels Sprouts

12 Brussels Sprouts
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
2 tsp olive oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp sesame seeds

Recipe Directions for Roasted Sesame Ginger Brussels Sprouts

  1. Wash and remove yellow outer leaves of Brussels Sprouts. Slice off the woody bottom of sprout and then slice the sprouts in half.

  2. In separate ramekin microwave oil, vinegar and sugar for 20 seconds. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add spices and sesame seeds to vinegar and mix.

  3. Take a small 9" roasting pan or casserole dish and coat the bottom with non-stick spray.

  4. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

  5. Drop the Brussels Sprout halves into the sauce and coat. Then arrange halves on a roasting dish. Drizzle sauce over the top of the sprouts (reserve a couple tsps. for after roasting) . Bake for 15 minutes. Broil for 3 minutes more.

  6. Serve immediately

  7. Brussels Sprouts has a narrow window between underdone and overdone. Remove when slightly brown, but still a little firm when tested with a fork.
