Recipe Ingredients for Roasted Brussels sprouts

1 pound Brussels sprouts, outer leaves discarded, cut into halves or quarters (if large)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Roasted Brussels sprouts

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400.

  2. Wash, trim bottoms and remove discolored outer leaves. Halve or quarter the Brussels sprouts.

  3. Place in a roasting pan or low-sided casserole large enough to hold them in a single layer without crowding (otherwise they will steam and be soft, though still tasty).

  4. Drizzle oil over top and toss to coat. Sprinkle with salt.

  5. Roast 10 - 12 minutes or until slightly browned on pan side. Stir gently or turn with tongs, trying to get a different side 'down' to prevent scorching.

  6. Roast another 8 - 10 minutes and serve hot.
