Recipe Ingredients for Roast Beef Casserole

800 grams Beef, Top Sirloin
200 grams red onion
200 grams mushrooms
10 grams chilli
1 clove garlic
1 beef stock cube
250 grams cherry tomatoes
200 ml red wine
400 ml water

Recipe Directions for Roast Beef Casserole

  1. Brown fatty side of beef in heavy bottomed casserole dish, remove

  2. add chopped onions, garlic, chilli and whole mushrooms, fry for a couple of minutes until onion starts to soften.

  3. return beef to pan, add red wine, tomatoes, stock cube and water.

  4. Cover and place in oven on 160C fan forced, cook for 4 hours. Remove lid and cook for a further 30 minutes so that sauce thickens and reduces.
